The city of Manchester is one that is teeming with things to do, with a list of music and theatre venues around the city there’s going to be no shortage of entertainment for anyone who finds themselves there. With plenty of entertainment to be found in the city, that also means that there is an overwhelmingly positive number of places to get food and to eat. I want to talk about some of them today.
The first place that I would like to talk about is ‘Fazenda Rodizio Bar & Grill’, located at The Avenue, Spinningfields, M3 3AP. This bar and grill features the continuous tableside service of fifteen prime cuts of meat. In addition to this, there are a few locations for this bar and grill around the country with each of the locations offering a slightly different menu. The Manchester location offers a myriad of different menus throughout the day. You have choice of the lunch, evening or a private dining menu among others. A few of my personal choices off the menu would be the ‘Contra Filé’ that has a beautiful meaty flavour that is well balanced with a tender texture. Either that or the ‘Chicken Frango’ which is chicken thighs lightly basted in a lemon and garlic marinade. Not only does Fazenda offer some of the best cuts of meat around Manchester, but it also offers you the chance to join in on a wine masterclass that runs only once a month.
Another place that I would like to talk about is the ‘Federal Café & Bar’, located at 9 Nicholas Croft, M4 1EY. Federal offers a unique choice in its menu. Federal is an independent and locally owned coffee show aiming to bring an antipodean café-esque culture to Manchester’s Northern Quarter. They serve Ozone coffee and a fresh, locally sourced brunch menu in a friendly and cosy atmosphere. There is always a wide variety of cakes baked in-house, every day to accompany whatever else you may want to order from the menu. There’s also a fully licenced bar at Federal, allowing you to enjoy a mimosa or cocktail with your brunch order.
The final place that I would like to talk about for Manchester would be ‘Alabama’s All American Eatery’, located at 10 Newton Street, M1 2AN. Alabama’s that is essentially in the heart of Manchester should be no problem for anyone to find. It prides itself on serving as a British take on a high end American diner. In addition to this, Alabama’s offers a few vegan choices on the menu like ‘Castroville Cakes’ and ‘Mac & “Cheese”’. Obviously with this restaurant being based on a diner, it isn’t just a vegan restaurant. They offer other options like a traditional Philly cheese steak, a Cajun chicken sandwich. On top of the variety that they already serve, they give you the option of a variety of unique salads, pancakes and omelettes that you could get for an amazing breakfast. Alabama’s also serves as one of the savviest eateries in Manchester. It keeps a gallery of some of its greatest accomplishments when it comes to the food that it serves. Their official website also tells you that it’s probably a good idea to book online if you’re planning to go there in a group of five or larger as there is a good chance that it is going to be busy and you may not get a table too quickly.
