Hello. My name is Charlotte. I’m a twenty-three year old Creative Writing and English graduate and I like to read. I run a blog in which I share my thoughts on books I’ve read recently and publisher such as Penguin Random House and HarperCollins often send me advanced copies of books to review for free prior to their release. In addition to this, I made youtube discussion videos about topics surrounding books and their authors. I’m also a writer working on a piece of original fiction that I hope will be published in the future. It’s something I firmly believe in.
Literature has always played a big part in my life: as a child my mother always pushed me towards reading and it’s something I will be forever grateful for. I’ve always been fascinated with the worlds of fiction and characters brought to life by various authors and often find myself learning what inspired that particular writer to put pen to paper and produce a story. Whether it’s a place they lived at one point, or a location that provided inspiration or even a spot used in an adaptation of an author’s work. I feel it adds an extra bit of magic being able to go on visits to parts of the country where literary figures once wandered and stumbled upon fantastic ideas that are still being enjoyed today.
Using the wonderful collections of photographs here on PictureBritain, I aim to showcase some of the literary wonders you may be aware of and others that you may not.
